School Garden Project

We believe that the School Garden Project is a useful tool as it enables us to:

  • Provide focus, purpose, and direction — something the community can strive to achieve.
  • Aid in identifying and mobilizing assets and resources.
  • Generate enthusiasm and excitement about the direction the community is heading.
  • Unite participants and helps cultivate a sustained level of commitment to the project.
  • Give participants the courage to tackle issues that seem insurmountable by breaking them down into actionable steps.

After two years of hard work on behalf of parents, staff and children we opened our prayer garden in July 2018. We were delighted that the Lord Mayor of Birmingham Yvonne Mosiquto was able to join us and officially open the garden; the sun shone and the whole community were present to celebrate with us. We specifically thanked Mrs Linda Sutherland, Mrs  Ryan and Mrs Mary Farrelly who had done so much to make our garden possible.

Some of our School Council paid a trip to B and Q to pick out some pots and plants. Thank you to the staff there for their assistance and generosity.

Our wonderful garden is really starting to make progress now. Look at our spectacular new water feature!

We would like to thank all the volunteers who gave up their time, to help clear our garden in preparation for its new look. Thank you!

Take a look a our school Disco pictures!

As you can see the garden needs some work. We need your help in order to do this!

Take a look at our love grows event! Thank you to all of those who attended for supporting the project.

We would like to thank local dignitaries Mrs McGhie-Belgrave MBE (Shades of Black Project Founder) and Faydene Gillings-Grant (Stechford In Bloom and Stechford Food Bank Coordinator) for helping us with their planting expertise.

Our latest school disco has helped raise even more money towards our Garden project.

Take a look at our wonderful centre piece, and we would like to thank Mr Booker who kindly donated our new bench. We would like to thank him for all his hard work!

Take a look at all the fantastic work that has been done in phase one of our garden construction.
