Spelling and Grammar
At St Cuthbert's we use the Nelson Grammar scheme as a guide and additional resource, but do not follow it strictly. We aim to give our children the necessary time to master new grammatical concepts and then apply it within their work across all curriculum areas. Grammar and Spelling Lessons are discretely taught, but elements of Grammar will be reinforced introduced across the curriculum, particularly within Writing lessons.
